Job Expectations:
- Packing quality bags of chips and sorting out defective ones.
- Checking dates to ensure fresh and accurately labeled products.
- Palletizing and labeling products correctly.
- Sorting and reworking defective finished goods.
- Dumping boxes of proper product into bins for packers.
- Ensuring proper dates and communicating changes to line leads.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Clear communication and respect for one another.
- Maintain GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices.)
PPE and Dress Code:
- Must wear steel toe shoes- You will supply these
- Must have on required PPE for each shift- Shearer’s will supply first set at orientation
- Vest, safety glasses, gloves, bump cap, ear plugs, hair net and beard net
- BUMP CAPS should not have any stickers other than your name
- If you do not have your PPE upon arriving to your shift, it may be supplied to you no more than 3 times from Shearer’s.
- If you show up to your shift without your required PPE more than 3 times, you will be sent home for the entirety of your shift.
- No clothes with frays, holes, rips, or bedazzling
- No cut-off sleeves
- No inappropriate language or depictions
- No high heels or sandals
- No hoodies
- No dangling draw strings or accessories
- Piercings are permitted but only studs are allowed. No hoops or partial hoops
- Hair must be kept above the shoulders
Timeclock Procedures:
- Get your ID # from your agency
- SSE: 6 digit # provided by recruiter
- Other agencies: last 4 of social
- If your clock in number does not work, please notify Brianna Salter
- Do not clock in/out for breaks
- Do not clock in more than 5 mins before start time
- The use of the Temp Sign In & Out sheet, is required to be completed along with clocking in & out on the Time Clock, for proper time verification to be paid correctly by your agency
- If we are unable to verify your punches with the sign in sheet, your time will not be guaranteed to be accurately paid out
- Immediately notify your supervisor if timeclock isn’t working
*You MUST follow the schedule the Crewing Coordinator provides you on the day of orientation*
Call off line: 330-767-7977
- You must contact both Shearer’s and your agency when calling off.
- If there is an emergency and you need to leave early, you must notify your supervisor and call the call off line to report the reason for documentation purposes
- Required when using the call off line:
- Provide your name
- Provide your agency
- Provide your shift
- Provide your reason for calling off
